Shortbread recipe



100g Caster sugar

200g Butter

400g Plain flour


(1) Pre heat oven to 140oC

(2) Using a mixer cream together butter and sugar until pale and white

(3) Sieve flour and fully incorporate into sugar and butter to form dough

(4) Role dough into a cylinder and place in the chiller until set firm

(5) Cut dough half an inch thick and place onto a non stick mat on a baking tray

(6) Sprinkle brown sugar on top and bake in oven at 140oC for 20 minuets

(7) Place on a cooling rack, allow to cool and serve
